Hendrik de Villiers from South Africa and Emma Davies from Ireland
won the ITU Mombasa African Cup event on Sunday 18 Novembr in hot and
humid conditions on the African East Coast. Emma Davies led the
Elite women’s event from start to finish and performed well in the
warm weather conditions after spending a week on the Kenyan coast to
acclimatize to the local conditions

of the Netherlands has secured the top sport of the ITU
Mombasa
African Cup in Mombasa Kenya. In second place was
Hamish Johnson
of New Zealand and third
Brian Jenkins
from Ireland.The event was cheered by a huge crowd who came
out to see the action and expierence a taste of Triathlon.
Children engaging in Beach Volleyball at
the end of the Triathlon events. Mrs Chinatsu McReed made the teams
which consisted of the various schools and clubs. This was big fun
for the athletes and the parents.
